Who writes for GoVisaFree
GoVisaFree is written by people who live, work or invest abroad. Our contributors are expats, digital nomads and members of our community who share what they have learned first-hand: applying for residence permits, moving to a new country, opening bank accounts and building a life across borders. Each article shows the contributor who wrote it, with a short profile.
How we research visa and residency topics
Immigration, residency and tax rules change often and affect real decisions. When we describe a visa, golden visa or residency program, we rely on official government sources such as national gazettes, immigration authorities and tax authorities wherever possible, and we link to them so you can check the original rules yourself.
Our articles are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Before you apply for a visa, invest or move, please confirm the current rules with the relevant authority or a licensed professional.
Keeping articles up to date
We review our visa and residency guides when programs change. When an important rule has changed since an article was written, we add a dated update note at the top of the article that explains what changed and links to the official source. The “last updated” date on each article shows when it was last revised.
First-hand stories
Some articles are personal accounts, for example an investor describing their own golden visa application. These reflect the writer’s experience at the time. Where the rules have changed since then, we say so in an update note rather than rewriting the person’s story.
Affiliate links and independence
Some articles contain affiliate links. If you use them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not decide what we write or recommend. You can read more in our Advertiser Disclaimer.
